One 55 degree day and about 6quarts already. Lots of boiling next weekend.

I guess is should explain. You can tap sugar maple, silver maple, red and black maple. You can identify your trees by looking at the twigs at the end of the branches. If the twigs grow at the same spot, in a V, you have a tree you can tap for syrup. If the twigs do not grow out as twins in a V, but as singles in a Y, then you cannot tap them. Here is a V...
here is a twig from a tree with sap that for not yield syrup.
The syrup yield is about 35 quarts of water boiled away to one quart of syrup.
